I have a set of war files which are building without error using build.xml and ant in Eclipse. When I run the war files via Tomcat, everything runs as expected. Now I'm trying to deploy the app on Jetty. I have the war files deployed in my local instance of Jetty (9.1.9), and it seems to be configured to load the the Java EE jars. If I try to run the app, I get the standard: ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.enterprise.web.PortletContainerInitializer I have a basic (non-web) class in the war directory, but it is never called. When I do run the Ant build again, it gives me the following error: build.xml:1514: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: META-INF/services/javax.servlet.ServletContextListener I don't understand why I'm getting a FileNotFoundException, and why the class is missing...any ideas? A: It's probably a classloader issue. Tomcat provides a service loader that finds all classes in the sun.* packages in your WEB-INF/lib.
